World Mental Health Day 2024 - 10th October - TUC Webinar

This year's day dedicated to mental health across the world, takes place on Thursday 10th October which is in just 5 days time.

The TUC have just issued a press release reminding people of the day, aimed at all Trade Union Safety Reps and mental health first aiders as well as affiliated Trade Union national executives; in order to ensure maximum attendance at a webinar on the topic of 'Mental Health As A Workplace Issue'.

This will feature representatives from CWU (Communications Workers Union), POA (Prison Officers Association), and the Shop workers' union (USDAW), who will share some of the latest campaign work around mental health workplace initiatives, policies and practices reps have negotiated with employers in their workplaces.

Our own Jamie McGovern, from CWU Branch Greater Merseyside Amal and one of the key figures in the Union responsible for setting up CWU's North West Regional Mental Health Network will be taking part in the presentsations and discussions in the Webinar.

Geoff Willetts - (POA) NEC member and Stephanie Queen (USDAW) senior workplace rep.
